I didn’t come from consulting.
I didn’t go to Oxford.
I learned business the hard way — by actually doing it.

Where it all started

At 16, I found myself in the City of London, working inside a small but explosive oil exploration company. One minute I was making tea; the next I was in a taxi to Moorgate carrying cheques worth £3–4 million… while earning £3,500 a year.

It was surreal, chaotic, fast-moving — and it opened my eyes to what business could be when people are resourceful, creative, and hungry.
I watched that company grow from a handful of people to 120+ in just three years.

That early exposure to entrepreneurship stuck with me for life.

I became obsessed with how businesses actually work

After a few misfires career-wise, I fell into sales because someone told me, “If you can sell, you’ll never be out of work.”

They were right.

I went from:

Selling kitchens door to door

  • To selling motorbikes
  • To running my own petrol station
  • To starting a valeting business
  • To buying & selling cars
  • To selling Jaguars & Mercedes
  • To brokering luxury motor yachts
  • And eventually becoming a Brand Manager for world-renowned yacht brands

Along the way I became endlessly fascinated with:
